The objectives of the work described in this report were to characterize the three-dimensional regional ground-water flow system and geochemistry in the Central and West Coast Basins and to develop and apply appropriate models for evaluating ground-water management issues in the Central and West Coast Basins in Los Angeles County, California. Total annual pumpage from the Beaumont and Banning storage units ranged from about 1, acre-feet in to ab acre-feet in Ground-water levels declined by as much as feet in the Beaumont storage unit from – in response to ground-water pumping of about , acre-feet during this period.

Abstract. Two electromagnetic surface geophysical techniques were used to explore the ground-water resources of Isla de Mona, Puerto Rico—a square-kilometer island located between Puerto Rico and Hispañiola, Isla de Mona is a tectonically uplifted carbonate plateau of Neogene age that has an average elevation of about 50 meters above mean sea by: 6. A two-dimensional, steady-state, areal ground-water flow model was developed for the island of Molokai, Hawaii, to enhance the understanding of (1) the conceptual framework of the ground-water flow system, (2) the distribution of aquifer hydraulic properties, and (3) the regional effects of ground-water withdrawals on water levels and coastal discharge.
